He watched Tony stand, put on a brave face and did a quick respectful head bob to both Zack and Eamon before pivoting on his keels then walked out. Eamon instantly felt bad but knew that Sullivan was one of his skilled engineers and can bounce back better; he looked to Zack and frowned as if he suddenly realised he had done something that could have been handled better. "I just lost it," he let his head hang. "I can't believe I just lost it. I'm better then that."

Re: Fleet Opening Mission: To Our Future - Bryan Abrams - 08-23-2011

Starbase Thrinacia
ATC Deck 56
21:32 hrs

Bryan watched as the last ship came in and docked he almost simultaneously closed the Space Doors and locked the docking clamps to all the ships including the Cardassian one he then checked the docking seal and opened the Starbase's Airlocks which hadn't been opened yet he then turned his attention to the console on his right to check the area for vessels he wasn't picking up any Cardassian signatures any more nor was he picking up any Federation ones either. Bryan new that occasionally a freighter or transport ship would pass by but when the Cardassian's arrived he sent out a warning to all the ships informing them that they should divert to avoid the battle he was now sending out another message informing them that the area was clear but he advised travelling through this area of space a yellow alert and with shields up for the time being in case they decided to return he was praying that they wouldn't he was sure that the Starbase wouldn't hold up against another attack.

Once it had sent out he turned around to look at the damage he sighed slightly and walked up to the console that exploded earlier he was going to attempt to repair it even knowing he had only ever helped repair a docking clamp and a few other minor things before but he was determined to get the console going so he knelt down and opened it up he could see that some of the relays had fused to together so he quickly replaced them with some help from an Ensign who showed him what to do he then looked around inside again to make sure that there was nothing else that needed replacing which there wasn't as far as he could see so he tapped the console to see if it would work and as if like magic it did he half expected it to explode again he smiled to himself and got up quickly checked the perimeter scans and then turned his attention to a repair team replacing the cracked window which was the only thing between them and space which worried him a little so he tried to focus on something else which is when he realised that his hands where burning so he turned them over to reveal what looked like second degree burns probably from that bloody console he thought as he walked up to his assistant "I am just going to go and get these seen to and then i will be back to help with the rest of the repairs" he said and his assistant nodded and carried on helping to fix a conduit.

Bryan walked out and headed for a turbo lift only to find it was out of action so he had to walk to the next one down the corridor on his left he walked straight down to the end of the corridor and turned right where he found another turbo lift in operational status he had to wait a few seconds before the doors opened when they did he walked in and said "Sick bay Deck" he paused to think when another Lieutenant said "120 its deck 120" Bryan then said "Deck 120" he turned to face the lieutenant and said "Thanks my minds all over the place" it only took a few minutes to get to deck 120 when the lift stopped Bryan stepped out and said "See ya" and the doors shut he quickly made his way to sick bay.

USS Braveheart

The battle with the Cardassian’s had finally finished with the final ship disappearing as quickly as they had appeared. Many of the ships had sustained a substantial amount of damage, and the Braveheart was no different, although from the looks of some it certainly wasn’t the worst off in the fleet.
“Status report.” Jemma called out before Ethan had had a chance and listened to the response as they made their way back to the Starbase to repair whatever came back. Most of the Primary systems were still online although the shields were down to 47%, phasers were running at 70%. A few Secondary systems were acting up, but nothing that the crew couldn’t deal with, or hadn’t before.

Jemma set about helping effect repairs once they had docked with the Starbase, There were burnt out conduits here and there, and people were jogging around fixing things as soon as possible. What with being in a celebratory position one minute, and then being on red alert and being in battle, was certainly a change in pace. What would be happening next Jemma didn’t know, But everyone was certainly on edge and rightly so for now. How and why the cardassians where interested in what they were doing over in their little part of the galaxy was unknown, but Jemma was certainly more interested that she had already been over what they were all here gathered for after all.

Re: Fleet Opening Mission: To Our Future - Marek Lovok - 08-24-2011

Cardassian Flagship
Some other corridor leading to bridge

"Shouldn't we try the engine room?" Lisa Hayes asked, she had her tricorder out and scanning the interior of the flagship.

"We should go to the bridge so we can take control of the ship and turn the battle in our favor." Rick Hunter replied to his wife, Lisa.

Marek was about to butt in with their orders to simply find a terminal and extract the information then get back to the Braveheart when his combadge chirped. A voice he wasn't familiar with came through the speaker.

=^=Ghost one to Brave One we are attempting to take the bridge and need assistance, Respond please. =^=

=^=This is Lieutenant Marek Lovok of the Braveheart's Hazard Team, who is this?=^=

=^= This is LtJG Moorehead of the Agamemnon. We are takeing heavy fire on the bridge and require assistance.=^= Replied Mike as he pulled a plasma flair from his vest.

" Fireworks anyone" he croaked with a grin as he stuck it and tossed it into the bridge blinding the cardassians and giving his team a moment to regroup and move into a better position. As the team moved in Mike changed to his sidearm and made his way to the highest ranking officer ont he bridge. in the skip of a heartbeat he placed two shots into the knees of the ranking officer. The cardy dropped to the floor and brought his weapon to bear on Moorehead. With a skilled shot Ace disarmed the spoonhead and gave MIke the chance to get his hands on the officer.

" I AM LT.MOOREHEAD. EVERYONE DROP THERE WEAPONS NOW OR I WILL ORDER MY MEN TO USE LETHAL FORCE. !"

In the room weapons could be heard being dropped to the deck plateing. as the team started to call off all clear a door at the front of the bridge opened. Shots rang out and the fight was back on.

Marek had acknowledged the call with the standard 'we're on our way' and the hazard team expertly navigated the interior to the bridge. They discovered they were only partially needed as the weapons fire had ceased and Lieutenant Junior Grade Moorehead had the Gul at point blank range. The hazard team filed in and took up positions around the bridge collecting the Cardassian weapons as they did.

"Well looks like you didn't save any for us Lieutenant." Marek said disappointed. "My orders are to access the ship's computer and download their database, what are yours?"

"To aid in overtaking the bri.......". Suddenly a hail of weapons fire rang out across  the bridge as  spoonheads barged in from all the hatches. Mike was hit in the shoulder and went down . "Lead" spun around and opened up on anyting that wasnt wearing a Starfleet uniform.  As Mike went down he hit is head onthe armconsul of the seat he was next to. His head was bleeding out into his eyes. he whiped his face and opened fire on the closest Cardy he could see.

Marek snapped into action and so did the hazard team for they took up positions of cover before returning fire. The medic in the hazard team went to Mike to see what she could do; every couple of moments Marek looked back to see how his medic was helping the Lieutenant. So far she had him treated and applying a bandage when Marek glanced their way.

He glanced over his cover and saw where the Cardassians were, Marek quickly got off a few shots in the directions of three before they fired back in his and he had to duck. It seemed that the Cardassians had stayed close together and that gave the Romulan an idea. He grabbed his pistol phaser and set it to overload in 4 seconds before getting to his feet so he could throw it into the Cardassian group. "Fire in the hole!" He shouted.

The Starfleet personnel quickly made a break for where they saw Marek stand so not to get caught by the grenade.

Miker watched as Lovok tossed his pistol and yelled fire int he hole. He knoew what was about to happen and it wasn't going to be pretty at all. He grabbed the medic that was careing for him and pulled her around so that his body would act as a shield if anything came flying. And as he expected things did fly. Glass Metal, and of course the best of the slop was parts of the Spoonheads that had attacked them.

"Sorry about that, But you are far to pretty to have been injuried by the blast." Mike Commented as he let go of the young medic. She smiled and blushed a bit as she stood up.

Mike looked around the room, all was secured and the Cardies that survived were shackled ad being lead off. Lt. Lovok had assumed command and fromteh look of the viewscreen the ship was headed to the Station.  Mike slowly stood and looked to be sure his team was ok. Gunny was at what appeared to be a weapons or tactical consol. Bella and Ace were assisting on leading out the prisenors. As for the rest of the team he was sure that they were aiding the Braveheart's teams.

" Lt. what are our orders?"

Marek was glad that the battle didn't last long and the teams started repairing the captured vessel. He turned to Moorehead for he asked the Romulan for orders. "Well we better get back to the starbase." Marek spoke louder. "Do we have engines?"

"Thrusters only!" Someone replied.

"Set course for Thrinacia," Marek ordered. "Transmit our IDC to Flight Control and get us docked."

"Aye."

Marek turned to Moorehead. "Well done Lieutenant, we have captured a Cardassian ship for our engineers to play with."

Upon the Cardassian ship's docking the special ops team returned to their ship as did Marek's team. They left it in the capable hands of the starbase engineering department for study and analysis.

Marek walked off the turbolift and went to Jemma's side. "Lieutenant Marek Lovok reporting in, we captured a cardassian vessel ma'am." He grinned though knew his team only helped Moorehead's team.

USS Braveheart

Jemma was on the bridge with many officers scuttling around mending any damage that had been sustained in the battle. Suddenly some sparks flew from a console to her left making her jump to her feet on full alert. A few of the bridge crew tried to hide their smiles, but Jemma knew they were there. ‘Better safe than sorry’ she thought to herself. She could sense that many were feeling anxious from the battle and it was starting to make her jumpy. The crew were worried about what was going to happen next, and although Jemma wanted to re-assure them, she honestly didn’t know what was going on any more than they did. They would all have to wait for further information or instructions. Jemma took a deep breath as she closed her eyes momentarily to strengthen her mental barriers, before opening them again to continue what she had been doing.
An ensign shuffled up to her and wanted her authorisation on a few things which she checked and signed off on. Before an Officer walked up to her fresh from the turbolifts, and addressed her. “Lieutenant Marek Lovok Reporting in, we captured a Cardassian vessel ma’am” Said the officer. If memory served her from the personnel records, he was their Chief Intelligence Officer.

“That’s good news Lieutenant.” Jemma responded to the news about capturing one of the Cardassian ships. “Any prisoners?” She asked, torn between hoping there was, and not wanting to have to deal with them. “Give me a full report.” She instructed clearing the PADD in her hands to take note of anything worthy.

Falcon's team of marines had performed as was to be expected. the capture of the patrol ship severed as a great moment of pleasure in his career. doing waht he had been trained to do and not loseing a member of his team. as the docking clamps and mooring looked in the ship completly stopped and Falcon motioned for the team to make their way to the airlock.

As the marines from the Thunderstorm reached the Airlock they made way for Falcon to come to the head of the group. The hatch opened and a Chief Petty Officer was standing at post.

"Lt.Col Wiseman requesting permission to disembark."

" Granted Col. Your persence is requested in Command OPs."

" Thank you Chief." he replied as he walked out and took a few steps before turning on a snapp " Gunny, Everyone is to return to Marine ops and await debrief."

" Aye Sir. Well you ladies heard the Colonol gets your sorry arses to the Thunderstorm"

" AYE GUNNY" they barked off as they double timed it to the Thunderstorm.

Falcon turned back tword the corridor leading to teh turbolift, slung his rifle and proceded to make his way to the Command OPs. As he reached the lift teh doors opened. he stepped in, requested OPS and was on his way. Moments later the doors opened and we was standing a few meters away from the doors to OPS.

He walked up to the doors, the computer beped and a slightly suatry female voice requested his clearance.

" Computer voice athority Wiseman Falcon S LtCol, Starfleet Special OPerations Division. "

The computer in reply beeped and the doors opened. He stepped in and searched for the ranking officer of teh room. being stumpd by whom may be in charge he stopped an Ensign.

" Excuse me Ensign, I am LtCol.Wiseman, can You direct me to the officer of the deck?"

" Yes Sir, you are looking for Commander Blake or Admiral MAlloway, Although I believe the Admiral is debriefing the cadets that served ont eh Majesty."

" Thank you Ensign, Dismissed"

" Aye Sir" the ensign replied as he snapped to.

Falcon looked once more around the room. not locating either party he stepped out of OPS.

" Computer locato Admiral Malloway"

*Admiral MAlloway is in Deck 22, conference Room Theta*

With this new Intel Falcon was on his way. MOments later he was outside the conferance room. he stepped up tot eh doors which opened and he entered. He stopped just far enough in the doors to let them close. He quitely found a placwe to sit and awaited the Admiral to complete his business

Connor walked off the turbolift with the orders from Admiral Malloway on the PaDD in his hand and approached Jemma. His tail idly whipping about his ankles. He waited for the Romulan he saw to finish reporting that their were survivors who had been turned over to station security.

Connor then realised that the Romulan is the Hazard team leader and smiled for their mission was a partial success; though he recalled that beacon on the Independence and hoped the rest of the fleet didn't have any.

The Romulan turned to walk away, saw Connor, stopped and gave the Commander a respectful nod. "Sir," he greeted then made his way off the bridge. Connor faced Jemma, "Commander Jemma Grax?" He asked.

RE: Temporary Assignment

Lieutenant Junior Grade,
You are hereby ordered to report to Commander Blake, temporary Commanding Officer of the USS Braveheart, immediately for temporary assignment aboard said vessel as it's Chief of Helm and Navigation. You orders are to remain onboard the Braveheart for her mission, and return to Thrinacia once Commander Blake no longer requires you onboard.

Regards
Admiral S. Malloway, Commanding Officer Starbase Thrinacia

Bryan read through it and then said "Computer locate Commander Blake" the computer replied with *Commander Blake is located on the USS Braveheart's Bridge, Docking bay* "Computer Cancel" he quickly interrupted as he already new where the Braveheart was located he then quickly put his shoes back on and grabbed his COMM Badge and pips and left his Quarters and locked the doors and as he was on his way back to the turbo lift he put his pips and COMM badge back on by that time he had reached the turbo lift and entered it "Deck 57" he said as the doors shut.

Bryan exited the turbo lift and began to walk towards the Bravehearts docking bay within a few minutes he was stood outside the airlock he stopped to take a look at the ship although he had trained aboard a ship he preferred to serve aboard a Starbase he found that they didn't have a habit of getting destroyed as much as Starship's do. Bryan then began to walk down the long airlock to get aboard the Braveheart.

Bryan stepped aboard the Braveheart for the first time and looked left then right he had no idea which way to go so he decided to turn right whilst roaming the halls he found a turbo lift so he entered it and said "Bridge" the doors shut in their normal fashion.

The doors on the turbo lift opened and Bryan stepped out and looked around for a moment taking in his surroundings he then spotted Commander Blake so he slowly approached him and saluted as he said "Commander, I am Lieutenant Junior Grade Bryan Abrams Chief of Flight Control on Star" he stopped and quickly corrected himself "chief of Helm and navigation I have been temporarily assigned to your ship from the Starbase" he then stood to attention waiting for the Commander to reply.

Re: Fleet Opening Mission: To Our Future - Jemma Grax - 08-27-2011

USS Braveheart

Bridge

Jemma finished dealing with the Romulan Lieutenant when another Commander stepped onto the bridge. This peaked Jemma’s interest, especially as she Hadn’t seen or heard From Captain Trane for quite some time since they docked with the Starbase. She didn’t know what was going on, but by the look of things she was finally going to find out.

"Commander Jemma Grax?" He asked stepping in front of her.

With a smile she responded with “Yes Commander, What can I do for you?” She asked, sensing slight trepidation from him.

Connor wished his race had some kind of empathic abilities as they would be real handy at a moment like this. ~Might as well start with small talk,~ He thought and smiled. “Where is Captain Trane?” He asked though he knew already, but kept his expression neutral.

“I’m not aware of Captain Trane’s Location, although last I knew he was being summoned to Admiral Malloway aboard the Starbase, Sir. That’s as much as I know unless you know something I don’t?” She commented with a slight questioning tone.

“I’m sorry to inform you that Captain Trane has been reassigned, temporarily, and I, Connor Blake, am to take command during his absence.” He said a little sad that a captain is taken from his crew. He offered the PADD with his orders on it to Jemma. "I wish we could have met under better circumstances but the situation deems it necessary.”

Jemma took the PADD and gave it the once over, finding everything in order. Considering that Jemma’s CO had changed a number of times in a short space of time recently she wasn’t particularly surprised to hear this new information. “I’m glad to have you aboard Commander and look forward to working with you. I’m guessing our orders to go through the gateway stand? Or does Starfleet have another mission in mind for us?” She asked unsure quite what to expect now.

Connor smiled. "Thank you Commander," he was a little taken aback by her lack of surprise at the change of command but that was common for many executive officers throughout the fleet; he was fortunate to have Admiral Malloway as his CO as it was rare for Admiralty to replace one another.

"I too am looking forward to working with you." Connor nodded. "Yes our mission stands; through the gate and deploy the relay." He gestured to the turbolift. "Who was that Lieutenant?"

“That was a Lieutenant Marek Lovok, Chief Intelligence Officer as well as Hazard Team CO. I haven’t served with him before, he is obviously one of the new crew complement, so we shall have to wait and see how he goes.” She said with a twinkle in her eye. She always enjoyed working with new crew members, to watch as they grew with experience, or working under new Commanding officers, anticipating what new and exciting things they could teach her.

He smiled. "Yes we shall. Well I'd like to arrange a senior staff meeting to break the news to them and begin mission preparations." Connor had admired Marek and probably due to the man having pointed ears; he likes pointed ears as he has them as well. "Make it so," he said and smiled. "I've always wanted to say that." Connor joked.

Jemma’s face creased into a smile at the comment. “Your wish is my command!” she smiled before asking, “When would you like it arranged for Commander?” She asked  as she span on the spot and headed over to a computer terminal to compile the message to be sent out to the senior staff.

"In two hours," Connor said before he mumbled something about 'that should be enough'. "I'll be in the ready room."

“Understood.” Was her only reply as she set about sending the message out to the senior staff.

All Senior Staff,
You are hereby ordered to a Staff briefing at 22.30, conference lounge, Deck 1.

After sending the message Jemma glanced towards the ready room where her new CO was disappearing to, only to find him being stopped by a Lieutenant Junior Grade. She smiled inwardly to herself, he had barely been on the bridge two minutes and people were already making a bee line for him.

Re: Fleet Opening Mission: To Our Future - Steve Malloway - 08-27-2011

STARBASE THRINACIA
Conference Room Theta, Deck 22
2140 hours

The Admiral made his way slowly down the central aisle, feeling all the piercing eyes of Cadets watching him, the Lieutenant Commander standing to one side from the central podium as he arrived, turning around just short of the front. His own eyes began piercing back to the Cadets, feeling each eyeline shot down as they met.

"Thank you, Commander." Steve said, not looking her way but making sure all the Cadets' attentions were on him before turning to move behind the podium. He placed the PADD infront of him. "Officers of the Fleet, and yes I mean Officers now before I get questions. After the display of courage each and every one of you has shown throughout the last several hours, as well as the commitment radiating through your enthusiasm during tenures at the Academy it is with great pleasure that I graduate each and every one of you from Cadet…”

The speech carried through some more, name after name being read out along with graduation rank and their new assignments. Important names to remember were:

William Angel was being promoted to the rank of Ensign and assigned as Chief Security and Tactical Officer onboard the USS Majesty.
DJ Hurt was also being promoted to Ensign, joining Angel on the USS Majesty but as the ships new Chief of Helm and Navigation.
William Halsey had gained his graduation rank of Ensign, receiving assignment to the Taskforce Flagship, USS Agamemnon, as Chief Engineering Officer.
Des Locker was to join Halsey in rank of Ensign and assignment to the Agamemnon, but position of Chief Counselling Officer was given.

After several minutes passing, the Admiral set the PADD back down, and stood up straight with a tug to his uniform. He would have preferred a more elaborate ceremony, but the damage sustained to the Fleet and the need to get everyone out there was great. So a shambled conference room with grubby uniforms would have to do. He saluted to all present with a professional nod to his head, and an air of pride that these new officers would do him proud within the United Federation of Planets Defence Fleet, and finished with a quick, “Ensigns, dismissed!”

The officers before him all stood, returning the salute before some dispersed or others turned to one another to discuss the past several minutes. Mixed signs emanated; some were ecstatic over their assignment, some concerned over their abilities, some not so sure the decision was right. However the Admiral himself had made each assignment official, chosen them all personally and was happy in the knowledge they would all prove well. Now all the Ensigns-were-Cadets had to do was to find their CO and report in for their further instructions.

He smiled slightly as he remembered his own graduation day. True it was the extravagant ceremony found with the majority of all others back on HQ, but the feelings of satisfaction and relief about yourself were all the same. As he brushed the old memory aside he thought of how soon his daughter’s graduation would be, a smaller smile flicking his mouth as it sunk in that it wasn’t too far off either. Another brush aside as he spotted the Commodore awaiting him near the back of the room, so he walked over.

“Commodore, I assume Lieutenant Commander Jackson has reported in?”
