Cadet Locker review - Desmond Locker - 08-13-2011 Starbase Thrinacia Conference Room Theta 2125hours As I walked into the conference soon I felt a sense of peace. Almost everyone I met before the battle were there and all ok. The conference room was fairly large, looked a lot like a movie theatre from the early twentieth century. There were rows of comfortable chairs that descended row by row to the conference podium. I walked to row 21 which was the front row where the others were gathered. Some still had blood steins on their uniforms from injuries sustained in the battle. I personally still had one myself. As I sat down, I a craving for fruit juice. I was hungry and thirsty and didn't have a chance to eat yet. I noticed that there were data consoles attached on the sides of all the chairs and I activated mine and started looking at training info while I was waiting. I felt really drained though and concentration was limited. Every movement, every sound, change in light or temperature distracted me easily. In the background of my thoughts I could sense the concerns from the command crew present and I knew something was going on that we didn't know about. TAG: ALL Re: Fleet Opening Mission: To Our Future - Megan Goodyear - 08-13-2011 Starbase Thrinacia Command center 2130 Hours After all the ships had come in, Megan sent a message to all Security and Tactical Chiefs of all ships. FROM: Commander Megan Goodyear, Security and Tactical Director, Starbase Thrinacia TO: All Security and Tactical Chiefs Of each ships CC: Ships Captains RE: Security and Tactical Reports To all Security and Tactical Chiefs, I need Every one of you to send me reports of all your past security Breaches, Protocols, and any records you have for Tactical as well as security. I need to know to review all of your records to see where the holes are. I want to know if any ships were boarded during this Battle and if so i want to know all details. I want these reports sent to me immediately! I also want to debrief all you chiefs so you can debrief your departments. Debriefing time will be sent in another communique following the review of your reports. Commander Megan Goodyear Director of Security/Tactical Starbase Thrinacia After Megan had sent the communique to all of the ships, she headed out of the command center and tapped her commbadge. "I want all of my security teams to report to the promonade on the double. Bring all your scanning equipment. We have a lot of things to do." she said as she headed off to the promonade. when she arrived she saw her crew there and when they saw her they turned to her and got quiet. she stopped in front of them and looked at them. "first of all.. you guys did brilliantly during the battle here, but there are some problems.. Cardassians gotten through our defenses and had gotten on the station and attacked a few people. They'll alright so far but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. I want to know HOW they got through our systems and why you guys didn't catch it. I'm just as guilty in that department so I'll be evaluating things myself as well from the command center and the docking ports i had seen them get into. No doubt the Admiral will be wanting an explanation on why this happened and i intend to give him a good one. I want groups Alpha and Beta to work on the protocols and systems.. Omega and Delta will go around areas and check all the entrances and exits and openings. Every little nook and cranny WILL be examined and reported.. I don't want this to happen again.. I will be working on the defenses and the port systems.. i want you all to report back to me in two hours.. IF you get done by then i expect a FULL written report.. If you're not done i expect you to update me and give me a full report when you're done. Understood?" she told them all looking around. they all nodded and said Yes Ma'ams to her. She nodded to them. "Very good.. Lets get to work people.. oh and i want you to interview all the crew on this station as well.. all cept the head of departments which i will do.. Your dismissed.." she said and headed off. As she walked, she took out a padd and started to work on it looking things over. she had decided to start sending a message to all the department heads on the station. TO: all department heads FROM: Commander Megan Goodyear RE: Security Review To all department heads, due to the recent battle and invasion Me and my team will be evaluating the security on the station. I need to ask you all questions about any protocols you have in your department and anything that has happened recently. I will be seeing you one by one to talk to you so please be advised. Commander Megan Goodyear Director of Security/Tactical After she had sent that she headed to her office and had grabbed some things and headed out going towards the Ops department to start off with them. TAG: All Re: Fleet Opening Mission: To Our Future - Malone Martize - 08-16-2011 Starbase Thrinacia USS Agamemnon Dock 2131 Hours Malone listened to Woodcroft's response. He took a deep breath in relief that the Thunderstorm came out of that with all her blood. "Good to hear, Captain. It's about the same here, tho I've got some serious injured engineers here. Some damage to her Portside engine, but nothing some engineer bandages wouldn't fix." Malone responded over the comm. "Melanie when possible, I'm gonna need you and Goodyear to meet me at the dock that has that Cardassian ship in it. Were gonna do some poking for information." He said. He then opened a channel to Moorehead. "Lieutinent Moorehead, what's your status?" He asked as he stood up, hearing the docking clamps lock on to the Agamemnon. He took the padds that had the Damage reports on them after hearing the last system update from his crew and set them immdiately to Ops where Malloway was. Quote:DAMAGE REPORT: tag Woodcroft - Melanie - Malloway - Open Re: Fleet Opening Mission: To Our Future - Steve Malloway - 08-18-2011 OOC: Apologies, slight writer's-block as having been ill! IC: STARBASE THRINACIA Command Deck 2122 hours The Admiral reached out to a PADD laying on the console he had previously been tampering with in repairs, looking once at Connor again. "Immediately." He looked to the PADD, keying in commands and authorisations before passing it to his XO. "The orders are given. You have a Commander Jemma Grax, Betazoid if I remember rightly, as First Officer so I suggest hunting her down for a review on what state the Braveheart is in, and I'll be sure Ethan's orders come through within the next few minutes as well." He paused, stepping back to allow several Engineers wander between them with a new bulkhead. The place still looked a complete mess, infact the repairs seemed to be making more mess than when there was actual damage. He shook his head slightly with a smile before continuing. "Obviously she'll need repairs on the go for the Braveheart so the investigation can be started. Work with Goodyear and hand to her to complete if necessary - and remember, trust few, only who you need to." Steve nodded his head, glancing to the timer on the wall. "Excuse me, Commander. I have further orders to issue in the next 8 minutes." He grinned, rather wickedly as he thought of the assignments upcoming. "I'll catch up with you at our staff briefing, but keep me updated on the... 'incident'." And with that, Steve nodded once before turning on his heel and straightening his uniform somewhat, disappearing in the turbolift with a final "Deck 22" being ordered. TAG: Connor, All Re: Fleet Opening Mission: To Our Future - command - 08-19-2011 STARBASE THRINACIA Deck 22, Conference Room Theta 2130 hours It was not the scene the Lieutenant wanted to walk in on, that was for sure. Granted, the majority of the Cadets were sat in seats talking amongst themselves, or reading PADDs, consoles screens or, some, even books. The rest... well, their behavious was... how can it be put? Like so... "SILENCE!!" Sarah roared as she stood in the doorway to the conference room, the backs of the Cadets to her before whizzing around to see who it was who's voice now echoed over their heads. Everyone went silent as the Lieutenant took a step into the large room, her own small petite figure oddly out of place to the large roar she had enveloped the rucous with. "Just what sort of behaviour is this? NOT the right one befitting potential Starfleet Officers!" She finished, loudly still, as she made her way down the central aisle to set-up shop at the main podium down the front. Her eyes scanned this way and that, gently at those who had been smart enough to sit and wait, piercingly at those who had decided it prudent to take it upon themselves to break the sound-barriers. The room stayed generally quiet for several more moments as the final boughts of Cadets showed up through the doors, whispers here and there amongst some, general quiet conversations of others. Luckily for them there was no more 'noise'... perhaps the Lieutenant had instilled a sense of fear - small human, large voice, female... deadly combinations to the imagination of what else she could muster. It was an odd sensation to be stood at the front of a sea of nothing but Cadets, knowing you were the only officer present, even more so as she was a mere Lieutenant Commander herself. No seniors in sight. She looked to her personal silver watch attached to her wrist. 2132 hours. Time to begin - the Cadets all seemed present, if they werent, then that was their issue to resolve when she caught them herself. "Cadets. I have permission from the Admiralty to firstly start off with apologising for the way in which you were all thrown into your duties, with little to no experience under your belts - the attack from Cardassian forces was not expected to say the least, but your efforts in maintaining all your composures during the incident was commendable and no doubt partly thanks to each and every one of you we have made it through this. On final reports - our Fleet lost a total of 3 starships, 17 smallcraft and a total of 893 lives. While we understand this loss was not acceptable we are grateful that there was no higher figures in amongst that. Damage to the Fleet was significant, the USS Majesty was hit hard with extensive repairs sought after, other ships not so tenderly hit but damage was sustained that will need assistance with. Thrinacia was the worst hit of us all, as you can no doubt see from around you-" The Lieutenant paused as a silhouette arose in the doorway to the conference room. She placed her PADD on the console before her, clasping her hand behind her back. She wasnt expecting his arrival at all. "Cadets, I will now pass the remainder of this de-brief over to none other than our Fleet Commanding Officer, Admiral Steve Malloway." And she stepped back, watching the Admiral make his way down the central aisle to her podium, a PADD in his hand. TAG: MALLOWAY AND CADETS Re: Fleet Opening Mission: To Our Future - William Angel - 08-19-2011 STARBASE THRINACIA Deck 22, conference Room Theta 2130 Hours Will sat quietly, concentrating on keeping the barrage of emotion from disturbing his equilibrium. Stanley had given up trying to make conversation and had instead turned to his nearest neighbour and was chatting away with a young woman in the blue of either science or medical division. Will was uninterested. His defences were up, but the sudden spike of anger caught him off guard. He looked towards the podium and saw an officer approaching it, bearing Lieutenant Commander's pips. "SILENCE!" The volume of the officer's command surprised him. Her anger, which Will perceived to be in response to the somewhat childish behaviour of some of his peers, washed out in a wave across the auditorium. I don't want to get on the wrong side of her, he decided, as she began her debriefing. She detailed the losses suffered in the recent engagement, and Will caught the bubbles of grief coming from pockets of cadets who had lost friends. He felt a twinge of guilt that he had seen little of the action himself. He quickly squashed the memories that threatened to surface from years ago. Now was not the time. Will's attention was drawn by the ping of surprise emanating from the officer. Although she gave no outward sign, something had taken her aback. He followed her brief glance as she stepped back and clasped her hands behind her back. An admiral had stepped into the room. "Cadets, I will now pass the remainder of this de-brief over to none other than our Fleet Commanding Officer, Admiral Steve Malloway." Will concentrated on Malloway. He radiated practiced calm, but Will could sense fire burning below the surface. This was not a man to be underestimated. He leaned forward, concentrating on every word Malloway uttered. TAG: All Re: Fleet Opening Mission: To Our Future - Zack Gillibrand - 08-20-2011 USS Independence Captain's Ready Room 2200 hours Zack straightened up in his chair as the chime to his Ready Room door rang. He knew who it was, and why they were here. Chief Engineer Rayner had brought Sullivan up from engineering for a nice, friendly chat with the Captain. Zack was still pretty angry about the little stunt Sulluvan had pulled with the Cardassian device...the little stunt that could have cost them the entire ship, or even the entire battle. Both of those outcomes were unacceptable. As the door swished open, Zack gave Sullivan his sternest expression, and an equally withering glance to the Chief Engineer. "Chief," said Zack in a tone that brokered no room for discussion. "Sullivan. Both of you sit down. Now." The two engineers entered the office and sat down without a word. Zack put on a calm expression, folded his hands before him on the desk, and spoke. "Normally I would not intervene in a departmental discipline issur...but since Mr. Sullivan damn near got us killed, I figured it was my duty to step in. Do you have anything to say for yourself Sullivan, or anything to say on his behalf Chief?" (tag Rayner) Re: Fleet Opening Mission: To Our Future - Emma Wilkinson - 08-20-2011 STARBASE THRINACIA Command Deck 2100 hours Commodore Wilkinson had a few bumps and scratches on her from being thrown around the command deck as the fight with the Cardassians had been waged, and although she had been offered medical attention she had known that many people needed it more than she had, so had waved them off. Her head hurt slightly from connecting with a panel at one point, but apart from that she was fine. Emma was standing over to one side of the Command Deck, keeping out of peopleâs way as they scurried around fixing various conduits and doing what she could to lend a hand, when someone stepped up behind her and spoke. "Commodore Wilkinson, I am Lieutenant Commander Callum Jackson, Commanding Officer of the USS Majesty, Admiral Malloway has told me to report to you on what happened to the ship. Is now a good time or would you like me to come back later?" The Lieutenant asked. âNo, now is fine.â Emma answered putting aside the PADD she had been looking over to give the officer her full attention. She also grabbed a blank PADD in order to take stock of whatever she would be told. She could see various ships coming in to dock for repairs through the windows, and could see that some were obviously better off than others. The fight may have been brief, but it would take a bit of time to get all their ships back up and running at 100%. âSo what is the status of the Majesty Lieutenant?â She asked getting things started with a small smile. Callum thought for a minute and then replied "Most of the Majesty's primary systems are online, but the warp core took some damage and isn't operating at full capacity. It had to be taken offline for cadet Halsey to fit a patch on the coolant pipe. Our forward phaser array has been destroyed along with one of our forward torpedo bays, the tractor beam has also been destroyed, life support was failing on the bridge and the main viewer was destroyed which left a gaping hole in the hull. Thatâs how i broke my left arm, because i lost grip on my chair. It was lucky that the emergency force field activated when it did, the hull has also been extremely damaged and we have hull breaches on decks 1 to 4 and 36 to 40 if I remember correctly" Callum paused to think and then after a few seconds he continued "Our torpedo complement is down to about 10ish, and the impulse engines were damaged on our return course to the Starbase. I believe only the centre impulse drive is working." he paused for a quick breath and carried on "Although most of this damage was caused when a Cardassian ship was heading straight for the Starbase. I put the ship right in between it and the Starbase whilst our phases recharged for us to fire back." Callum stopped to think again and as he did he glanced over to see his crew and the cadets helping out with the repairs to the Starbase's Command deck he then looked back at the commodore and said "I'm sorry, but it is hard to remember the exact status of the ship, Iâm just trying to remember everything that was reported as damaged throughout the battle. Emma stood and listened to the report before pausing for a moment and then gathered herself before replying. âIâm sorry Lieutenant ⦠but this simply is not good enough. If you had taken this sort of a report to the Admiral, god alone knows what he would have done to you. As Commanding officer you should be well aware of the status of your ship no matter what the situation or circumstances.â She paused looking rather cross and disappointed. She had thought she would be working with the best, and brightest, but to be honest this wasnât the start she had hoped for. Handing the clear PADD she held to the officer in front of her she continued her ass chewing. âThere is no excuse for a Commanding officer to not know every detail about his ship. These are for you to record data ⦠so use it ⦠Record information as it comes in and then you always have an up-to-date account.â She paused to draw breath before concluding. âNow ⦠I suggest you go back to your ship ⦠find out what her ACTUAL status is ⦠and THEN report back to me when you have the required information, and not before.â She said pointing to the blank PADD she had handed over. âI also advise that you never debrief another superior officer like this again, as they may not be as lenient as I am.â She said before finishing with âDismissed.â Hoping that her words would rattle the officer just enough to get him to think twice before he made the same mistake again, especially as knowing the Admiral as she thought she did, he would have ripped the lieutenant a new one if he had been the one to get debriefed in the same manner. Callum took the PADD from the Commodore, he was slightly annoyed but could see where she was coming from although he was wondering how he was supposed to have remembered everything due to the fact he had almost died twice and it was his first time in Command but when she said âDismissedâ he looked at her nodded and said âAye Maâam I will be back soon with a full damage reportâ Callum turned and headed for the Turbo lift stepped in and said âDeck 56â the doors closed and the lift began to head to its destination. Starbase Thrinacia Airlock 21:15hrs The turbo lift stopped and the doors opened Callum stepped out and headed straight for airlock number three once he got to the Majestyâs airlock he said âComputer open airlock, voice authorisation Jackson, C. Lieutenant Commander, Commanding Officer, USS Majesty. The airlock opened and Callum stepped aboard and headed straight for a turbo lift he stepped in and said âEngineeringâ once again the doors closed and the lift began moving to its destination. Starbase Thrinacia Engineering 21:20 hrs Callum barely let the doors open fully before he jumped out he quickly walked up to the pool table he tapped a few buttons on the control panel and then said âComputer, Compile a full damage reportâ the computer just replied with *Working* Callum began to walk up to the warp core to inspect it he saw the patch straight away on the port coolant pipe he walked up to it when the computer said *now displaying system damage report* Callum quickly walked back up to the pool table and began to read through the damage report USS Majesty, NCC-73819 Systems Status Update Primary Systems: --Main Computer: ONLINE 67% operational; estimated repair time 16 hours --Warp Drive Systems: ONLINE 60% operational; estimated repair time 9 hours --Impulse Propulsion Systems: ONLINE 40% Operational; estimated repair time 12 hours --Phaser Banks: OFFLINE Overall 1%; estimated repair time 24 hours --Torpedo Launchers: ONLINE 90% operational; remaining complement is as follows: Photon = 10; Quantum = 100; Tri cobalt torpedoes = 10 --Transporters: OFFLINE Overall 5%; estimated repair time 20 hours --Sickbay Systems: ONLINE Fully Operational --Environmental Controls: ONLINE 90% Operational; estimated repair time 4 hours --Artificial Gravity Generation: ONLINE 60% operational; estimated repair time 5 hours --Subspace Communications: ONLINE Fully Operational Secondary Systems: --Holodecks: OFFLINE Overall 0%; estimated repair time 104 hours --Food and Medical Replication Systems: ONLINE Fully Operational --Solid and Liquid Waste Reclamation Systems: ONLINE Fully Operational --Auxiliary Power Generation Systems: ONLINE, Fully Operational --Antimatter Containment: ONLINE Fully Operational --Auxiliary Computer Core: ONLINE, Fully Operational Callum then transferred it to the PADD and then headed back into the turbo lift once in he said âDeck 25 Docking portsâ the doors closed and the lift began moving towards deck 25. USS Majesty Airlock 21:30 hrs The turbo lift stopped and the doors opened Callum quickly got out and broke into a run he ran off the ship and back onto the Starbase he didnât stop until he got to the turbo lift to get back onto the Command Deck once there he got in and said âCommand Deckâ and again the doors closed and the lift began its short journey to the Command Deck. USS Majesty Command Deck 21:35 hrs The lift stopped and the doors opened Callum jumped out and headed straight for the Commodore he approached her and handed the PADD over to her as he said âCommodore I have downloaded the damage report onto here for you to reviewâ Emma had just finished putting back a panel when Callum handed her the PADD on which his damage report was on. She smiled as she glanced at the document. She smiled, âI hope youâve read it, and not just downloaded it Commander.â She said with a knowing raise of an eyebrow. There were often those who did, and still didnât know what shape their ship was in. âFor now, I recommend contacting your Xo and finding out how the crew are. Admiral Malloway is currently occupied, however after checking in with your Xo, then report into the Admiral at 22.15hrs.â She finished with a nod of the head and a small shake of the Padd in her hand. âDismissed, and Thank you.â She said giving the Lt.Cmd a chance to say anything else before turning and continuing to do what she had been doing before the officer had re-appeared. Emma herself had to find the Admiral, so walked over to the computer. âComputer, locate Admiral Malloway.â She requested, waiting for the response of, âAdmiral Malloway is in Conference room Theta, Deck 22.â With that, she turned on her heals and headed towards the turbo lift and made her way to the stated location, noting the time was already 21.41. TAG Jackson/ Malloway/all! Re: Fleet Opening Mission: To Our Future - Eamon Rayner - 08-22-2011 USS Independence Captain's Ready Room 2200 hours "Yes I would sir," Eamon turned to Sullivan and growled. "What part of 'after we dock' did you not understand Tony!?" Eamon could of sworn he saw regret then sadness before a little anger, probably at himself Eamon thought, flash across Sullivan's face. The engineer hung his head is shame and then made eye contact with Eamon. "I am so incredibly sorry, I was certain we could do it in mere seconds without returning to spacedock." Tony said. "I guess the device proved more difficult for you to deal with then you had expected; well that thinking is not acceptable and you disobeyed my orders not to mention put us all in extreme danger." Eamon said though began to regret coming down hard on the engineer and in front of the Captain was greater humiliation. Tony let his head be heavy and looked down at the floor. Eamon looked to the Captain with a slight twinkle of sympathy and hoped the Captain will let this be a warning for he was certain Sullivan wouldn't make another mistake like that again. tag Zack Re: Fleet Opening Mission: To Our Future - Zack Gillibrand - 08-23-2011 USS Independence Captain's Ready Room 2204 hrs In an instant, almost all of Zack's anger at Tony Sullivan evaporated like a proverbial puff of smoke. Instances like this made Zack think back to when he was a young whelp not too long out of the Academy--wide eyed, eager to please and sometimes not quite cautious enough. Zack ached with sympathy for young Mr. Sullivan. Before this meeting, Zack had had every intention of dismissing Sullivan from his position; now he wasn't quite sure at all what he was going to dish out. "Look," Zack said, making eye contact with Rayner first and then Sullivan. "It's been a crazy night for all of us. I would like nothing more than to put this incident behind us and just keep on trucking forward with a warning." Zack unlaced his fingers and placed his palms flat on the desk. "Unfortunately, regulations tie my hands. You placed over 200 lives in jeopardy, and that cannot be ignored. I am therefore forced to enter a formal reprimand into your record. I did not want to do this...but believe me, you're getting off lightly Mr. Sullivan." The young engineer looked crushed. Zack flashed him a ten thousand gigawatt smile. "Chin up, kiddo. I had three formal reprimands before I made Lieutenant. Now, if you two will excuse me...I do have a lot to do. Dismissed." (tag Rayner) |
